On Saturday, 24 October 2020, in the afternoon at 11:55, in Kaunas, on Elektrėnų street near No. 1B, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Ford Galaxy and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (0.32‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
