On Monday, 9 November 2020, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 101.18), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota, a car and a Chevrolet Captiva. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Toyota (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
