On Thursday, 26 November 2020, in the evening at 19:15, in Kaunas, on Lazdijų street, at the junction with Veiverių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
