On Sunday, 29 March 2015, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Danutės street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Volkswagen Passat. One person was injured — a 13-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Opel (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
