On Friday, 22 January 2021, in the morning at 7:52, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr. near No. 166, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the BMW 525, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
