On Tuesday, 20 July 2021, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Č. Sasnausko street, at the junction with Giedraičių street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4, a Volkswagen Passat, a car and a Honda Civic 5DR. One person was injured — the 47-year-old driver of the Honda (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
