On Friday, 19 February 2021, in the evening at 18:36, in Telšių district municipality, on the Telšiai–Varniai–Laukuva national road (kilometre 13.35), a BMW 320D hit an animal. Two people were injured — the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (hospitalized) and a 23-year-old passenger of the BMW (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
