On Monday, 10 May 2021, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Marijampolės municipality, on R. Juknevičiaus street near No. 94, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Mercedes-Benz ML350. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.53‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
