On Sunday, 6 June 2021, in the evening at 18:50, in Šilutės district municipality, Lapynų village, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 191.50), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Jincheng registered in Great Britain and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Jincheng, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
