On Friday, 11 June 2021, in the evening at 19:35, in Šilalės district municipality, Eželiškių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 215.45), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW, a truck and a Scania registered in Belarus. One person was injured — a 21-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
