On Wednesday, 23 June 2021, in the evening at 21:30, in Kauno district municipality, Akademijos town, on Šakių pl., at the junction with Varžupio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Volvo (23 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.61‰ blood alcohol).
