On Friday, 14 January 2022, at night at 3:42, in Šilalės district municipality, Šaukliškės village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 248), a Ford Fiesta ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Ford (3 years of driving experience), who fell asleep at the wheel. The driver was sober.
