On Sunday, 6 February 2022, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 248.89), a Ford Mondeo ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Ford (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
