On Monday, 23 May 2022, in the morning at 6:35, in Šilalės district municipality, Gedminiškės village, on the Kryžkalnis–Rietavas–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 21.30), a Skoda Octavia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Skoda (19 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober.
