On Wednesday, 1 June 2022, in the evening at 20:47, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Tickinų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 274.30), a BMW 5er Gran Turismo Reihe ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
