On Saturday, 23 July 2022, in the morning at 10:50, in Šilalės district municipality, Bytlaukio village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 228), a Renault ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Renault (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
