On Thursday, 28 July 2022, in the afternoon at 13:45, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 11), at a gas station, a MAN TGX 18.440 4X2BLS registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the MAN (29 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident a strong wind was blowing, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
