On Friday, 16 September 2022, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Žemaičių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW, a Toyota Yaris and a BMW Serie 5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the BMW (96 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
