On Tuesday, 10 January 2023, at night at 23:58, in Telšių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 64.80), an Audi 80 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 74-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.77‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
