On Saturday, 4 February 2023, in the morning at 9:21, in Kaunas, on Europos pr., at the junction with Kalvarijos street, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Opel (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.58‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
