On Sunday, 25 June 2023, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 23.30), a collision with one vehicle turning left and the other right occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 68-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (4 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
