On Thursday, 5 October 2023, in the morning at around 8:00, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Ariogala–Betygala–Šiluva regional road (kilometre 14.65), a Volkswagen Bora ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
