On Sunday, 22 October 2023, at night at 3:06, in Tauragės district municipality, Ceikiškės village, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 158.90), a BMW 320 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. A 23-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (2.48‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was fog, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
