On Saturday, 30 December 2023, in the evening at 17:01, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 131.15), a head-on collision while overtaking occurred. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi (3 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober.
