On Monday, 15 January 2024, in the morning at 10:50, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 51.30), a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
