On Monday, 6 May 2024, in the morning at around 8:00, in Tauragės district municipality, on V. Kudirkos street near No. 9, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW Serie 5 and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the BMW (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
