On Thursday, 11 July 2024, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 4), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF, a car and a Schmitz Cargobull. One person was injured — a 52-year-old passenger of a car (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the DAF (17 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober.
