On Monday, 15 July 2024, in the evening at 17:30, in Marijampolės municipality, on Geležinkelio street, at the junction with Gedimino street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Fabia and a Renault Trafic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Skoda (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She was drunk and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
