On Saturday, 1 February 2014, at night at 3:15, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 218.50), a Citroen Xsara Picasso hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Citroen (27 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
