On Sunday, 23 March 2014, in the evening at 19:54, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 141.13), a Land Rover Freelander rolled over. Two people were injured — a 53-year-old passenger of the Land Rover (hospitalized) and a 50-year-old passenger of the Land Rover (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Land Rover (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
