On Saturday, 22 July 2023, in the evening at 19:35, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 143.22), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a e-scooter and a bicycle. Two people were injured — the 14-year-old driver of a e-scooter (hospitalized) and a 13-year-old cyclist (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 14-year-old driver of a e-scooter, who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
