On Sunday, 11 August 2024, in the morning at 5:22, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 141.12), a Tesla Motors registered in Norway ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
