On Wednesday, 19 November 2014, in the afternoon at 14:20, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 58.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Laguna and a Skoda Yeti. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
