On Friday, 18 January 2019, in the afternoon at 11:03, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 58.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat, a Lexus RX 350, a Mercedes-Benz and a Peugeot 406. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
