On Wednesday, 10 December 2014, in the evening at 20:15, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 5.80), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D registered in Latvia and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to give way when changing direction and failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
