On Monday, 23 March 2015, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 110), a Scania R 124 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Scania (a citizen of Poland) (4 years of driving experience), who was driving fatigued and failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
