On Thursday, 24 March 2016, in the morning at 10:30, in Kauno city municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 3), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Magnum 480 registered in Russia and a BMW 3ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Renault (8 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
