On Tuesday, 19 April 2016, in the afternoon at 11:25, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 280), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober.
