On Friday, 1 July 2016, in the morning at 8:40, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 114.60), a Jeep Compass hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Jeep (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
