On Saturday, 2 July 2016, in the evening at 17:19, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 121), a BMW 525 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk.
