On Monday, 15 August 2016, in the evening at 20:12, in Grigiškės, on Vilniaus street, at the junction with Sniegenų street, a BMW 740 registered in Ukraine hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the BMW (21 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.58‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
