On Monday, 24 October 2016, in the evening at 18:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 113.50), a MB registered in Russia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the MB (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
