On Monday, 7 November 2016, in the afternoon at 13:15, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 25.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF registered in Poland, a MAN TGA 18.480 4X2 BLS registered in Moldova, a semi-trailer, a semi-trailer, a Schmitz SCS 24/L and a MAN TGA 18.430. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the DAF (28 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
