On Saturday, 26 June 2021, in the evening at 18:28, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 24), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Superb, a car and a Honda Insight. One person was injured — the 48-year-old driver of the Honda (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Skoda (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
