On Tuesday, 15 November 2016, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Kovo 11-osios street, at the junction with Partizanų street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 and a Toyota. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
