On Saturday, 20 October 2018, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kaunas, on Partizanų street, at the junction with Kovo 11-osios street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Ford Galaxy and a Peugeot 605. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Ford (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
