On Friday, 24 February 2017, in the morning at 6:20, in Šilalės district municipality, Palokysčio village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 239.60), a Fiat Ducato ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Fiat (35 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
