On Tuesday, 14 December 2021, at night at 1:08, in Šilalės district municipality, Bučių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 239.50), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Schmitz Cargobull (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
