On Wednesday, 8 March 2017, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 141), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi Q7 and an Audi A4. One person was injured — a 13-year-old passenger of the Audi A4 (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Audi Q7 (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
