On Sunday, 7 May 2017, in the evening at 19:55, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 22.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH registered in Poland, a Koegel S 24 registered in Poland and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volvo (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
